Young Performers Programme (Junior School)

​​The Young Performers Classes combine ACTING | SINGING | MOVEMENT | MUSIC in a holistic, fun way for students to:

• #engage by observing the world around them, inquire and use their imagination to recreate it in a fun, theatrical way.
   

• #explore movement, music and musicality, song and acting and see how they link.
   

• #express themselves, their feelings and tell stories through performance.
   

Through these classes, young performers will gain a good strong basis in acting, singing, movement and music whilst developing skills such as observation, listening, creativity and collaboration, #skillsthatlastalifetime.

At age 5, students can opt for the RECREATIONAL CLASS (1 hour) and ADD a second class, the EXAM & PERFORMANCE (E&P) CLASS (1 hour) for those who wish to take their skills and commitment to performance and exam level. Students doing the E&P class MUST attend the Recreational Class and need to have an 85% attendance. 

The Musical Theatre Programme (Middle School)

Musical Theatre is one of the most loved genres of theatre whereby performers are required to be triple-threats, meaning that they are able to act, sing and dance.  At this level, the contact hours increase from two hours to THREE hours weekly.

Musical Theatre (MT) PROGRAMME in Middle School consists of a RECREATIONAL CLASS (2 hours) divided into acting & speaking (40mins), singing & music (40mins) and dance & movement (40mins). This class focuses on the development of skills, as students engage with technique, explore methodology and repertoire and express themselves creatively in the three disciplines.

Those who wish to take their skills and commitment to performance and exam level can ADD a second class, the EXAM & PERFORMANCE (E&P) CLASS (1 hour). This class builds on the recreational class and takes students through a rehearsal process where they engage with the material, explore performance and express themselves through Performance, including Examination Performances,.
NB: Students doing the E&P class must attend the Recreational Class and need to have an 85% attendance.

Musical Theatre is one of the most loved genres of theatre whereby performers are required to be triple-threats, meaning that they are able to act, sing and dance. At this level, the contact hours increase from three hours to FOUR hours weekly split over two days.

Musical Theatre (MT) PROGRAMME in Senior School consists of a RECREATIONAL CLASS (2.5 hours)  into acting & speaking (50 mins), singing & music (50 mins) and dance & movement (50 mins). This class focuses on the development of skills, as students engage with technique, explore methodology and repertoire and express themselves creatively in the three disciplines.

Those who wish to take their skills and commitment to performance and exam level can ADD a second class, the EXAM & PERFORMANCE (E&P) CLASS (1.5 hours). This class builds on the recreational class and takes students through a rehearsal process where they engage with the material, explore performance and express themselves through Performance, including Examination Performances,.
 

 Students doing the E&P class must attend the Recreational Class and need to have an 85% attendance.

MUSIKIDZ

Age: suitable for children aged 6+. Entry is by audition.

Designed for children and youth, aged 6+, this engaging 75-minute class fosters creativity through singing, harmonising, and basic choreography.

Each Musikidz session commences with a vocal warm up and vocal exercises to strengthen students’ voices and musical ear. Students are trained to sing together in harmony whilst performing choreography. A repertoire of songs is taught to the participants throughout the year and showcased in various performances.

HPA DANCE - Contemporary

Age: 7+ years 

Dive into the world of movement and expression with our Contemporary Dance Class! Tailored for ages 7 -14, this dynamic class blends creativity and technique. Participants explore fluid movements, self-expression, and contemporary dance styles in a supportive atmosphere. 

Individuals - Acting
