Nathalie Pace

Nathalie started her vocal, piano and theory training with mezzo-soprano Beatrice Brockdorff.  She furthered her theory training with Mro. Raymond Sciberras and her vocal studies with Mezzo Soprano Graziella DeBattista at the Malta School of Music. Throughout this period, she achieved her music examinations in music theory, singing and piano.  In 2018, she attended several workshops at Momentum Performing Arts Academy in UK, some of which include; Music Learning/ Singing with Kevin Fountain, choral singing with Stephen Hill, Gospel with Toni Robinson, Musicality with Mary King, Close Harmony and Session singing with David Combes, Jazz with Laka D, and Sign singing with Wayne Burrow. In 2020, she attended a jazz vocal masterclass with Hetty Kate organized by Festivals Malta.  

 

Her first experience on stage was at the age of 14, when she took part in 'This Thing Called Love' by Hoi Polloi Theatre Productions at the Manoel Theatre.  This instilled in her the love for musical theatre.  It was followed by 'Christmas with Hoi Polloi' (2007), 'Destination Adventure' (2009), 'Hannah Montana - The Tribute' (2009), Voices – Listen to the Music (2010), Strummin' (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2018, 2022, 2023), Sliema Light Orchestra in Concert (2011), 'Il-Maxtura gol-arena' (2012), Mela Darba fil-Kastell (2013) in aid of MCCF, Beerfest (2015, 2017), Rockestra warm-up act (2015), 'The Phantom of the Opera in concert' (2017), Mdina International Food Festival (2017, 2018, 2019), Valletta 2018 Opening – choir member (2018), Pageant of the Seas (2018) and Jemima in ‘CATS’ (2019). 

 

Nathalie was also a backing vocalist in L-Ghanja tal-Poplu (2013, 2016), Konkors Internazzjonali tal-Kanzunetta Maltija (2013) and Malta Eurovision Song Contest (2013).  She was part of the Malta Youth Choir.  Later on, she joined the Symphonik Choir and El Shaddai.  The latter gave her the opportunity to sing in several events like weddings, anniversaries and other church functions.  Between 2018 and 2022, she was part of DBanned, a Maltese pop & classic rock band, as one of their main vocalists. Since 2023, she joined Hoi Polloi as a singing tutor.
