The countdown is officially on! With just two weeks until opening night, Hoi Polloi Malta is thrilled to unveil the official promotional trailer for THE PANTO OF THE OPERA, our brand-new Pantoween musical coming to Teatru Salesjan, Sliema, from 30 October to 1 November 2026.

After weeks of rehearsals, music, choreography and theatrical mischief, we're finally giving audiences a glimpse into the world we've been creating.
Behind the Curtain at Valletta's Royal Opera House
Picture this: Valletta, 1886.
The Royal Opera House is preparing for its most spectacular season yet. But with its ambitious new patron, the Viscomte de Chagny, demanding perfection, tensions are running high.
Rehearsals spiral into chaos. A mysterious masked figure haunts the theatre's corridors. Strange happenings threaten the production. And somewhere between the shadows and the spotlight, Christine finds herself caught between two very different worlds.
Enter the theatre's flamboyant, larger-than-life Manager — a Dame with a heart of gold, a flair for drama and an extraordinary talent for making everything considerably more complicated!
What follows is a whirlwind of mystery, music, laughter and Halloween magic, as an eccentric company of performers attempts to save the Opera House from disaster.
But behind every mask… there's a story waiting to be told.
