This summer, we are thrilled to launch The Creative Express 2025 – All the World is a Stage!, an immersive 9-week performing arts programme designed to take children on an exciting journey across Earth’s diverse habitats, using the power of theatre, music, dance, and creative learning to bring the world to life.
🌿 A Holistic Approach to Performing Arts Education
At Hoi Polloi Academy, we don’t just teach performing arts—we use them as a gateway to deeper learning. Our approach is built on three core pillars: Engage, Explore, and Express.
🎭 ENGAGE – We foster curiosity by immersing students in hands-on, experiential learning. Through drama, movement, and music, we create a dynamic space where children actively connect with the world around them.
🌍 EXPLORE – We encourage students to venture beyond the traditional stage. This year, we’re traveling through forests, oceans, mountains, deserts, and icy tundras, exploring not just the geography and science of these habitats, but also the stories, cultures, and myths that make them unique.
🎶 EXPRESS – Self-expression is at the heart of our programme. Whether it’s through acting, singing, dancing, or visual arts, every child will have the opportunity to share their unique voice, building confidence, creativity, and communication skills that extend far beyond the stage.
🎨 Cross-Curricular Learning Through the Arts
The Creative Express 2025 is not just about theatre—it’s a cross-curricular journey. Our programme integrates science, geography, history, and mindfulness into every creative activity, reinforcing essential academic skills while making learning engaging and accessible.
🧪 Science & Geography – Students will discover the wonders of the natural world through hands-on exploration, learning about ecosystems, climate, and conservation while embodying the creatures and forces that shape our planet.
🎭 Drama & Storytelling – By stepping into different roles and narratives, children will connect with cultures and histories across the globe, learning empathy, problem-solving, and collaboration.
🎨 Arts & Crafts – Creative expression will come to life in tangible ways as students design costumes, masks, and props inspired by the habitats they explore.
💡 Mindfulness & PSCD – Our commitment to holistic learning includes emotional well-being, with dedicated sessions fostering self-awareness, teamwork, and resilience through guided creative exercises.
